2022 SHOW COVERS


Each year the Minnesota Stamp Expo offers three (or more) show covers tied to the show theme for that year. 2022 covers are pictured below, each with an unofficial pictorial show cancel with the show theme Celebrating Minnesota Artists. For prior years, see the menu to the right.

The first cachet features George Morrison, a Minnesota Chippewa Tribe artist who grew up and lived in the Grand Portage area of northern Minnesota. The cover is franked with one of the USPS Morrison stamps issued earlier in 2022.

The second cachet features Charles Schulz, creator of the Peanuts comic strip. Schulz was born in Minneapolis and grew up in St. Paul. The cover is franked with the USPS Snoopy stamp (Scott #3507).

The third cachet features stamps from the Fourth Bureau Issue. Each cover is franked with the USPS Nathan Hale stamp (Scott #551), Benjamin Franklin stamp (Scott #604) and George Washington (Scott #599).

The fourth cachet celebrates World Chess Day with a stamp from the United Nations Vienna Office. The stamps were officially issued in Vienna on July 20, but were "pre-launched" at Minnesota Stamp Expo and sold by the UNPA at the show beginning July 16.

The cost of the Morrison, Schulz and Fourth Bureau covers is $2.00 each, or a set of three (one of each cover) is $5.00. The World Chess Day cover is $3.00.
